Progetto India,The Shelter - Medical camp

Progetto India - Campo Medico On the 15th Nov., 2004 "The Shelter - Progetto India - Charitable Trust" has carry out his first important step as humanitarian Association: the realization of a free Medical Camp for poor people. We could program and realize this important event thanks to the presence and support of the doctor Giorgio Trigiani, specialized in cardiology and geriatrics, and his wife Laura, as assistant, during their tour in India.
The Medical Camp took place in a village 40 km. Far from Delhi, in the local government school.

Through the collaborating village people we could inform the population about the incoming program. From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. we checked 33 people (20 men, 12 women, 1 baby) with visit and ECG and most of them got a medical therapy to follow. Drugs and dressing were also aviable free. We got a very good and positive response from the village people, considering the presence of only one doctor.

Special thanks to doctor Giorgio Trigiani and his wife Laura for their precious collaboration to the realization of our program

MEDICAL CAMP - 7th december 2006

Progetto India - Campo Medico On the last 7th december 2006, we had a special programme in our Shelter, a free medical camp. Thanks to a collaboration with a doctors’ group belonging to a dispensary, we could manage a programme directly in our home. We offered to the village people a free check up and also medicines’ distribution. Everything has been free and possible thanks to a sharing cooperation forward to the poor people. Three doctors, one nurse and other two staff members were available for the visiting and distribution. We had BP check up, orthopaedic, gynaecologist, physician, and general medicine qualified doctors available full morning for children, old age, young and adult people. In three hours we received 135 people in our Shelter and everybody had visit, prescription and medicines free. We closed our camp on 1 p.m. with satisfaction and a promise for other future programmes.
